Dr. David A. Hall, Senior Minister
Dr. David Hall has been the Senior Minister at Oak Grove since December of 1989. Dr. Hall earned his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, master’s from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and doctorate degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Hall’s passions are expository preaching and evangelism.

Dr. Ralph Batykefer, Minister to Students
Ralph has been our Minister to Students since January of 1999. Ralph earned his B.A. from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, and his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He also received his Doctorate in Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, with an emphasis in Student Ministry Discipleship/Family Mentoring. Ralph’s wife is Karen and has two children; daughter Noelle (17) and son Ralph III (14). Ralph’s desire is equipping students to be ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ no matter their age or giftedness. Ralph also holds a 5th degree black belt and leads a Christian Karate program at Oak Grove Baptist for ages 6 through adult.

Rev. Steve Poole, Minister of Music & Worship
Rev. Steve Poole joined our staff in February 2006 as the Minister of Music and Worship. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of South Alabama and his Master’s in Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Steve desires to provide multi-generational opportunities to present multi-sensory offerings of our talents and gifts to God through creative, God-focused praise and worship.

Rev. Trey Wooton, Minister to Children / Senior Adults
Trey joined the staff at Oak Grove on June 1, 2007. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi College and a Master of Divinity in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Trey is married and has two children, Connor and Alyssa. Trey has served on the international field in the country of Bolivia as well as at churches in Louisiana and Georgia prior to his coming to Oak Grove.

Rev. Jim Testerman, Minister of Small Groups
Jim joined our Staff on November 1, 2009. He was licensed and ordained at our church, and has been ministering here bi-vacationally for quite a few years. He and his wife Becky have a daughter, Amanda. Jim is a graduate of Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Religion; and is currently working on a Masters of Divinty through Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He will be overseeing all of our small groups, as well as assimilation of new members and GROW (our church-wide outreach program). Jim’s passions include preaching and evangelizing the lost.

Mr. Richard Weih, Lay Minister of Pastoral Care (volunteer)
Richard joined our staff as a volunteer in November of 2009. He frequently visits those who are in the hospital, our homebound members, and anyone else needing care.
