This is an excellent forum where women come together to share knowledge, ideas and encouragement geared toward empowering one another in the faith. You will also want to mark your calendars! There are several exciting events coming up in 2016 that you won’t want to miss! Let’s have a look:
“Be My Guest”
“Be My Guest” evenings in host homes will be at a fixed time on January 22 and April 4, 2017. This is an opportunity to invite your neighbors for a time of encouragement and belonging. A simple meal will be prepared for guests giving them a chance to get to know one another, encourage one another, and simply join together as Jesus did with people from all walks of life. For more information, or if you would like to host or attend a “Be My Guest” evening, please contact Mary Frances Tracy 410-746-5353 or Diane Weih 410-879-1303. A few of our speakers have included Renee Luther Dixon, a contestant from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, DeeDee Jonrowe, the world’s foremost female dog-sled musher, Laurie De Young, DJ on 93.1 WPOC, Erika Clark, a missionary targeting sex-trafficked victims, Marie Monville, the former wife of the shooter of the Amish children in Pennsylvania, and Laura Acuña, Christian counselor and ministry leader.
For 2017, our featured speaker is Dee Jones, a celebrated Christian music and recording artist, a nurse and doctoral candidate, and founder of Dee Jones Ministries, Inc.
Saturday, March 18, 2017
We are pleased to feature Dee Jones as our guest speaker at the 2017 Women’s Conference! This year’s conference, entitled, Roadtrip: God’s Wonderful Adventure, is intended to encourage and uplift. Dee Jones knew at a young age that nursing was her calling. Little did she know that God ordained detours would delay this dream for 18 years. Traveling with her military husband provided wonderful adventures for God to use for His glory. Born to a singing family, Dee embraced God’s gift of worship through song and a love for God’s Word. She has appeared with renowned gospel artists such as Andraé Crouch, Point of Grace, Larnelle Harris, and others. Dee has performed in Israel with the National Christian Choir, appeared on the Fox 45 Morning Show, and opened for President Barack Obama, while traveling abroad with the National Medical Musical Group. Dee is the founder of Dee Jones Ministries, Inc. and has written and recorded original songs and well-known favorites.
Dee graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing with a bachelor’s of science, and then earned a master’s degree in nursing education from Wilmington University. She is a doctoral candidate at Walden University focusing on Community Health Education. Through it all, Dee is a lifelong student of God’s Word and she will be sharing how God’s wonderful adventure can be yours at our Women’s Conference.
Worship leaders for the 2017 conference are Karen Rickards and Melissa Wolford.
