Christians-in-Action

CIA logo 2

Christians in Action involves all ages and meets on Sundays at 4 pm.

John and Karen Ferrara lead this life changing opportunity for parents, children, and students to share in mission experiences throughout Harford County and beyond. Children should have their parents present during these events. Students do not have to have their parents present to participate, but why would a parent want to miss out on the fun?

Even if you can only attend once a month it is worth the effort.

The team provides mission endeavors ranging from support to local hospitals, police and fire departments, the homeless, to adventures with face painting or games in local parks. No previous experience is necessary… God (and a little training provided by the team) prepares you for whatever may come your way.

Click here for our January -August 2017 schedule of events. Note that all scheduled activities are subject to change without notice due to weather and other possible factors.

Don’t miss out on the adventure to share a wonderful experience with your family or just as an individual! Contact John/Karen Ferrara or Trey Wooton (trey@oakgrovebaptist.com)  if you have any questions.

CIA HEDGES & HIGHWAYS MINISTRY

What We Do

Various Saturday and Sundays throughout the year children, students, and adults are encouraged to come make sandwiches to be distributed to the homeless church that meets on Sundays near Baltimore’s City Hall.

We normally prepare the sandwiches on the Saturday before from 11:30am – noon in the EB#2 Kitchen. Then we leave Oak Grove Baptist at 7:00am that Sunday to head to Baltimore by bus to join the homeless church and distribute the sandwiches and have fellowship/worship with them.  We return to Oak Grove Baptist by 10:30am.  The Saturday/Sunday dates for 2017 are as follows:  March 4-5; April 1-2; May 13-14; June 10-11; September 9-10; October 7-8; November 11-12 and December 9-10.
