Tai Chuan Do Karate

We teach the TAI CHUAN DO style of martial arts founded by Grand Master Ken Champ in 1977. The style incorporates various traditional arts, including SHORIN-RYU, KARATE, AKIDO, and JUJITSU. Although the art is very challenging, we encourage anyone from 6 years of age through adult to participate. It is an excellent ministry for families to do together. We incorporate both physical and spiritual discipline as we study God’s Word and master our art.

The classes are held in the Upper Level of Educational Building #3

Tuesdays
Traditional Class (for those who desire more disciplined experience) from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Thursdays
Regular Class from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Saturdays (as scheduled) 8am

Students need to bring a Bible, notebook, comfortable exercise clothing, and a writing utensil. Sensei Mike Schepers (3rd degree black belt); Sensei Eric Gale (3rd degree black belt); Mr. Dan Clarke, and other qualified black belt instructors lead this ministry.

The ministry objectives are:

  • To grow in the discipleship of Christ.

  • To teach self-defense and improve physical conditioning.

  • To improve self-discipline, moral character, and humility.

  • To defend without hate or anger and without ego.
