Sunday School

NexGen Sunday School classes meet at 11am in Education Building #1 on the third floor. Classes are age-graded, gender-based and dive into studying God’s Word.

Wednesday Evenings

NexGen Youth Night is our mid-week worship-based learning times where students can reconnect with God and their friends. Through free time, organized games, youth-led worship with live band, teaching time, and small group discussion, youth are challenged each week as they grow in their faith.

During the school year, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm, we meet in the youth ministry building (marked building #3 on the outside). During the summer we meet together of selected dates for a fun outing or event usually off-site.

Youth Missions

Youth are encouraged to be involved in local, state, national, and international missions. Oak Grove offers mission challenges to share the love of Christ in very unique and creative ways.

Throughout the years our students have served in places like:

Harford County and surrounding areas
National: Ocean City, MD - Frederick, MD - Lake Placid, NY - Philadelphia, PA

It is our aim to challenge the teenagers to prepare their hearts, minds, spirits, and bodies for whatever God may have in store. It could be eating haggis in Scotland to sharing the Gospel through a Russian translator! Students can do all things through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13). We prepare months in advance for our longer trips and use music, Bible study, sports/recreation, drama, dance, and other tools to share the Gospel. We continue to pray about where God may lead us next… what is God calling you to do today?
